The Neighborhood

To get to the new Feightner First Addition neighborhood, take West Chestnut to Quail Ridge Road then go North to Woodridge (unmarked) and turn back North. It will be the only turn left once you are headed North on Quail Ridge. (See map below.)

The addition has many trees and golf course views, two cul-de-sacs, low traffic and a creek running behind some lots.

See the first phase on this Plat. The second phase includes plans for two homes with walk-out basements.

What's Nearby

The area is convenient to most West side shopping and is very close to the Pheasant Run Golf Course and Oakwood Golf Course.

History

This neighborhood is a new development by Feightner Developments LLC. In order to preserve as many trees as possible, and not require flood insurance, the areas in a floodplain were made into separate lots, to be sold with their adjacent lots, where the homes will sit.

Possible Future

"There will eventually be exits to both Chestnut and Willow if development is completed as currently platted," according to Mark Feightner.

Mark also noted, "The City is planning in the future a dual use LARGE city park/water detention facility (only wet during storms) just Northwest of the addition. Similar to the soccer complex off Van Buren. You would get a large park within walking distance and NO FEES to pay. The exact date that they will allocate the $$ is unknown. This was current city planning as of early 2007."
